Split a PDF by page range (or every page) offline
Pull chapters, appendices, or single pages out of a large PDF without sending the document to a server.
You do not always need the whole deck. Portals want pages 2–5 of a passport scan; a client wants only the signed exhibit; a teacher needs one worksheet from a packet. Splitting a PDF by range — privately — avoids uploading the entire binder.
Split modes that cover real work
- Custom ranges such as 1–3, 4–10 for multi-page extracts
- Every page as its own PDF for archival or re-ordering elsewhere
- Keep the original on disk; downloads are new files
- Open Split PDF and load your document.
- Choose range mode or per-page split.
- Download the resulting PDF or set of files (ZIP when appropriate).

Split vs Organize Pages
Use Split when the output should be separate files. Use Organize Pages when you want one PDF with pages deleted, rotated, or reordered. Many workflows do both: organize a clean master, then split deliverables for different recipients.
Password-protected PDFs
Encrypted files must open before they can be split. If you know the password, unlock with Remove Password (still local), then split. Do not upload locked corporate PDFs to random unlock sites.
